Retreat Itinerary

We will meet up with everyone in San Diego on the 13th and guide them down and back up across the border.  We will camp in Ensenada on the first and last nights.

Day 1

The meals and guide team will start the trip on the 14th. We will spend the first half of the 14th checking out the race trucks and wandering around downtown Ensenada. It’s a big event with plenty to see. Then in the afternoon we would head south out of town and get to our campsite in the dark evening of the 14th. My guess would already have camp picked out and set up to receive us so dinner would be in camp.

Day 2

The 15th we will wake up on the southernmost section of the Baja 1000 race ready to see the show. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in camp watching the race fly by. The bikes and the trophy trucks will be the first to come by then it would get a little inconsistent with the slower classes.

Day 3

Morning of the 16th after breakfast and coffee we will be packing up and continuing south leaving all the traffic and drama of the Baja 1000 in the dust and really get out into the beautiful desert of Baja. Now we get to see what originally hooked the adventurers that have been coming to Baja for the past 100 years. Cave paintings, petroglyphs, and cactus forest will be on the agenda finishing with a campfire under the stars and an amazing dinner.

Day 4

Waking up in the desert on the 17th we will have breakfast, pack up, and head for the coast. Which coast you ask? I don’t know. November is a tricky month so depending on the weather we will head to the Pacific or the Sea of Cortez but either way, we will be camping on the beach for dinner after a fun day of dirt roads crossing the peninsula.

Day 5

The 18th we will have breakfast in camp and start packing up and head back North to Ensenada. Expect to be back in Ensenada late afternoon on the 18th.  Since the border is hard to predict, we will camp one last night in Ensenada and head back to San Diego on the morning of the 19th.
